PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN

February 2012

Here we are more than half way through the winter and it hasn’t been too bad. Other than one below zero week in January the temperatures have been just cold enough to keep the snow looking pretty, the visitors coming north and the roads without black ice. It must be a pretty nice place to live—Edi and John are BACK!!!

Busy Bees—the ‘busy ladies’ will be meeting each Monday in February from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 to make dried arrangements with supplies furnished by Ellen Granger and design help furnished by Jan Gresmer who keeps our rest room flowers looking beautiful. There will be containers, silk flowers and dry materials ready for you on February 6th. You may start with an arrangement for you and then we will make some for shut-ins and those at K-Care and Avanti. Please come and learn and help others learn and enjoy the fellowship.

Carol Grahl has agreed to serve as the new group rep to the PW Board since Lorree Trobaugh has been unable to attend. Small Group Supper—The small group supper people will all meet together at the Grangers in February to collect suggestions for the future and enjoy good food and each other’s company. The group will gather on the 16th at 5:30 P.M. with dinner served at about six. The sign up sheet is in Fellowship Hall or call Bette Rosenthal at (715) 356-3575. Please sign up for an hors d’oeuvre, a main dish, a salad or a dessert. Please car pool in case snow makes it difficult to have room for one car per person to park at the Grangers’. (14550 W. Turner Lake Road off of Hwy. 70 on the Pike Lake Chain).

If you are not yet a member of a dinner group, your signing up for this dinner will serve to make you a member of the groups. If you are new, please indicate which months you will be in town. Normally, each small group meets independently each month and tries to pick a date when all in their group can attend as each group makes its own plans. See Ellen or Bette Rosenthal if you have questions.

Wednesday Breakfasts—Any church lady may join the ‘girls’ for breakfast at Perkins in Minocqua on Wednesdays at eight A.M.

CPC Friends Bulletin Board—Pictures and notes are collecting on the S.S. bulletin Board visible from Fellowship hall. Check out what is new.

Don’t forget to pray for your Secret Pal and be in touch regularly.

The next P.W. Board Meeting will be on February 20th at 1 P.M.
